Waiting for DSL,have questions...

    Hello all,
    Well my DSL exchage should be activated by end of 2009 thanks to barnicles for the link :D

    Anyway looking at packages with some isp's and can get broadband and phone for ~50 paying 80 atm for crappy phone and fixed wireless net

    BUt the package is smart 4mb will the lines be activated for quicker speeds when the exchange is activated or will it be a long wait?

    Services from Smart, Magnet and the like require step called LLU beyond just adding DSL support to the exchange. Most likely it'll be a long time before anyone beyond Eircom or resellers of Eircom will be available.
