I used Carlos Windows, based in South connemara. Amazing job done at a price that I could not believe and no I don't work for them. I think I have his number somewhere. All I can say is that other friends and people around me have all recommended him.

Are you looking for timber or pvc windows?

For PVC, O'Grady's have a good rep. For timber/aluclad I'd recommend Nordan/DCF at North Point.

+1 for Goherys. Excellent work and reliable.
Used them myself and recommended to several friends. No problems.

Munster are the biggest of all and have lots of sales reps.

The windows are generally not great and will cause trouble...hinges breaking etc ...within 10 years . They are fairly crap at aftersales, eg if a seal is faulty and letting in wind they will always blame the installer even though they left the factory with a lump of rubber bulging out of them.

To make sure that a supplier is not reselling Munster ask to see the factory and if there is no factory then be suspicious about what they are reselling .

Keep asking around, they are all hungry for business nowadays . You will save 1000s .

Also note that low emission ( Low E or K glass) will improve heat retention but will kill mobile signals stone dead so you would be advised not to have it in one room pointing to the local mast so your mobile will work .
