    Taking advantage of the first rays of sun coming out in the garden... First try at a "macro" approach for flowers, not too impressed with the results in all fairness but a good study so hopefully will get better at it in due time. Any tips & tricks most welcome!

    I like it a lot man. If i could offer one change to make, it would be to layer it up in PS, with the bottom layer being a total BandW, then erase the red shirt in the back ground that way. It would be really easy to do as there is no red or colour in the head of the bass anyway....i think it would be a bit more striking without that red shirt in the background. love that white vignette though.

    Great shot though, and your stuff is coming on in leaps and bounds since your new camera mate.

    Well spotted about guy in red, I hated it too and wished he wasn't there, thing is I don't use ps or know how to layer so using LR I just picked red only option.

    In LR use the adjustment brush to desaturate the tshirt or change the colour entirely.

    Took me 2 secs to do it ...

    Yeah, he's a lovely guy, we had the "fortune" of meeting him in a rather strange place, my father in law and his father are in the same room in an hospice in Dublin... Very sad, for both of them, but Brendan would come over and have a chat to my mother in law once in a while, he's very easygoing and down to earth! Nontheless, not really a place where you a) want to be as a "famous" person, and b) to give him the whole "wauw, you're Brendan Gleeson stroy"...

    in an email?... probably not. I put them in here and in another thread called "snow!" before a little while ago but they were taken down by a mod for being too big. only rezised them there a lil while ago. thanks for the comment though :)

    Just had a look there, the email was of different ice pictures. I must of seen yours in another thread so:D
