    Hi,

I was going to pick up the 8gig model in a few days on a new contract, my question is this.

If I buy the phone €49 and the monthly tarriff is €100, can i switch the monthly tarriff after a month to a smaller tarriff without get penalised?

    Cheers

AFAIK, you have to wait six months before you can go "down" a tariff, probably to stop people buying the phone at the more heavily subsidised rate of €49. There has been some discussion on this over on the O2 Forums http://forums.o2online.ie

It's six months before you can move down to a lower tariff.
