    Hi all,

Looking to upgrade my CPU and motherboard.

    Currently I have:

    Abit m-Atx mobo
    Core2Duo E6600
    2gb DDR2 800mhz
    Ati 4870 1gb

I would like to upgrade to a mid range quad core and a motherboard that I can overclock well, would like to get the quad core to 3.6+.

Looking to spend around €200/€250, any ideas on what I should go for?

Does your case support ATX motherboards?

you might have to stretch your budget abit, you will not get a quad-core and good mobo for under 250.

The Q6600 is the best budget quad-core at the moment http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=330169 and it can be clocked to 3.6 with no worries.

    Yeah my case supports ATX

was thinking about the Q6600, not easy finding a good motherboard to match it for under 250 though :pac:
