    Thought it was really good at the start, but once you reach the mid-point it's a fairly sharp slide down into mediocrity.

    Also a film adaption will probably remove the somewhat adult themed allegory, a la The Northern Lights.

    ya sort of got the impression he couldnt decide where the story was going it really did have the potential to be a epic
