Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

alright so tonight see's these matches:

    Tuesday, 27 January 2009
    Barclays Premier League

    Portsmouth v Aston Villa, 20:00...............Away
    Sunderland v Fulham, 19:45 ...................Draw
    Tottenham v Stoke, 20:00 .....................Home
West Brom v Man Utd, 19:45 .................Away

    and then tommorow

    Wednesday, 28 January 2009
    Barclays Premier League
    Blackburn v Bolton, 20:00
    Chelsea v Middlesbrough, 19:45 ...............Home
    Everton v Arsenal, 20:00.........................Draw (please)
    Man City v Newcastle, 19:45....................Home
West Ham v Hull, 20:00 ..........................Draw
    Wigan v Liverpool, 19:45..........................Away (barely)

looking forward to seeing how Villa cope tonight without Young, Laursen, Carew, Bouma and Reo-Coker but with Heskey. Im thankfull this is the post Diarra, Defoe and Harry Pompey though and think we might actually see Gabby go AMR/WFR for the first time in ages so Villa can keep our normal formation and thus we will go

    .....................Friedel

    Cuellar.....Davies.....Knight....Young

    .........Sidwell....Petrov....Barry...

    Gabby.............................Milner
    ....................Heskey

prediction: Villa 2 (Sidwell & Gabby, 2Heskey assists) Portsmouth 1 (crouch)

Hopefully Everton vs Arsenal can give Villa a helpfull result too

I've laid Villa tonight. Think Tony Adams will muster at least a draw out of this game. Villa are missing a few & Pompey have some good new signings looking to impress. I know they were bet at home on Sat in the cup but It's generally a tough place to go so hoping for a strong Pompey performance

Spurs 2-0 up, goals from Lennon and Defoe.

Can't find a working stream, managed to snaffle a half days leave from work but having to make do with d'wireless. Too late to make it in to Murrays to watch...:(

Villa 1-0, Heskey on his debut.

preople tend not to use the next 4 words all that often but... Andy Gray is right, Villa are again winning whilst not looking anything special. This is a poor Portsmouth side really, yes there are a few decent players but this is a game we have to win if we wont to be ahead of teams like Arsenal at the end of the season

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,213 ✭✭✭✭therecklessone

Spurs are all over Stoke, should be 5 or 6 up at this stage.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,558 ✭✭✭✭dreamers75

portsmouth are gick, woeful miss by ag ag ag ...gabby there, think he runs ahead of himself sometimes. if he could finish better he would be ****ing lethal.

Im thankfull this is one of the games Young is missing (although 1 goal is never enough) but Ashley would be running amuck in this game imo

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 22,879 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

Belhadj really should have got a red, terrible tackle which wasnt really a tackle as he was 100% intent on kicking Gardner and not the ball.

Good goal, harsh sending off, funny 2nd goal :D

Campbell going off for portsmouth could mean goal fest for villa.

Belhadj is gone this time for dissent, he deserved to go the first time. Crowd really getting on the ref though and disputing every decision

Ref had a poor game tonight. I thought we were the better team tonight, I don't think james had a single save to make but yet again we lose. Not sure what more Adams could have done with the players he has but we are on a losing streak and nothing is going our way. I am officially concerned now.

Didn't see a thread for this...

    Blackburn v Bolton (2000 GMT)
    Chelsea v Middlesbrough (1945 GMT)
    Everton v Arsenal (2000 GMT)
Man City v Newcastle (1945 GMT)
West Ham v Hull City (2000 GMT)
    Wigan v Liverpool (1945 GMT)

Anyone got any decent streams for these?

West Ham Hull should be a good game on Sky.

Liverpool won't win tonight IMO. Whether it's a draw or not is another matter.

Would've prefered Everton vs Arsenal. 5th vs 6th.

    My predictions

    Wigan 1 - 1 Liverpool
    Man City 2 - 1 Newcastle
    Chelsea 1 - 0 Middlesboro
    Blackburn 1 - 0 Bolton
    Everton 1 - 1 Arsenal
    West Ham 1 - 2 Hull

    I agree.

Wasn't there some crazy stat about the amount of points ex-united players, as managers, had taken from United's rivals last season.

    Anyhoo -

City: Hart, Richards, Kompany, Onuoha, Bridge, De Jong, Zabaleta, Ireland, Wright-Phillips, Bellamy, Robinho. Subs: Schmeichel, Gelson, Garrido, Elano, Caicedo, Jo, Vassell

Good to see the two new boys starting.

Allegedally he is 'out' with a knee injury.

I know he met with Ashley and Llambias along with his rep Michael Kenneddy today. I can only imagine that even 5 mins in the company of those two ***** would easily make his mind up.

Kinnear has been sh/ting on about it as well, but I have long since stopped listening to that knock off version of Redknapp.

    This is painful, seriously. :(

Watching a little river from the Baghdad boys. Very steady, and daycent quality. Probably the same one as Xavi.

Barton probably the only player in the black and white putting a shift in.
