Nothing science related, but I like 'dosheachainte' (unavoidable- I think I spelt it right :P). Really useful for all the essays!

It's not impressive, but I've always been partial to the word "alimentation", complete with bent French accent.

    Also, Ethylenediaminetetraacetic Acid

Well, my favourite words are obsequious, acquiesce, and I suppose alacrity; actually, I've too many to name. I'm not sure how impressive they are.

    How about antidisestablishmentarianism (anti-dis-establishment-tarian-ism)?

I was always quite fond of 'pejorative'.

Tripping out here...was going to say that myself.

Peridolia and apophelia are also personal favourites.

My favourite verb right now is 'bray'.

    Re. Plen. Ish.

and the good old favourite D.N.A:

    Deoxyribose Nucleic Acid

    I don't do biology...
But isn't it Deoxyribonucleic acid?? That what I always thought at least... Correct me if I'm horribly mistaken!

I love the word 'indubitably'......just say it.....!
Though my teacher underlined it in an essay with a question mark... And I know that it was the correct context, I looked it up! Like, wtf?!
Also 'precipitate' and 'effervescent' (Chemistry's great for long words...:pac:)

I know its 2 words from LC tech Drawing but here goes,

    Hyperbolic Parabaloid

Usually found in the form of a curved roof surface

I always liked chemistry for the good words, when I did it for JC. Having "-oxide" at the end of any word makes it sound so much more intellectual.

My English teacher was mad into "juxtaposition", but it's a bit overused as a token fancy word.

    Otherwise, I rather like "tautological".

    Moot.

It sounded so silly the first time we heard it.

Chemistry is definitely a good one. EDTA. Methyl ethanoate. 2,2,4-trimethylpentane.
