    I always loved the word "sebaceous" and the term "Crypts of Lieberkühn" from Biology. There's something very sinister about them.

    Geography - "megalopolis" and "jokulhlaup" always sounded funny in my head.

    French - "pamplemousse" of course!

    Not sure if they're impressive per se, but they impressed (i.e. amused) me!
