    Taylor is darts, but for the likes of the serious darts fans that even follow non televised events as well as every team event, I know speaking for myself I need to see someone beat him every now and again

    Without getting into the 'Is Darts a Sport' debate, Taylor takes from that one characteristic that defines sport. Competition. It's not his fault, the man is truly an all time sporting legend and the greatest ever. But with the money involved in darts now, the rest of the players have GOT to up their game, otherwise lets just watch him practice

    This is a fair comment, theres no question phil taylor is darts, like i'm 23 now and he was the man to beat when i was a kid, and even though i didn't become darts mad until about 6 or 7 years ago i always knew taylor was the top man. But as much as i like phil it's great to see the likes of a wade, part, jenkins, lewis or even barney to take him out once in a while, show that the sport is alive and competitive.
    When wade was on fire and won 3 tv titles, and barney took the title off taylor, jesus even when the world final was part and kirk shepherd, it was a novelty not to see phil cleaning up with a 3 figure average...
