Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

LOL, Laxie they ALL want to play this! :D It's within their budget, the location is close... But it's the online reg that's putting them off. Trust me... we really need these players! :pac: :pac: :pac:

Will definitely be advocating Ukash too.

    I'll be playing donating... :p

Just hope I don't bubble like I did last night(!) If I don't get that ticket - I'm not gonna waste any more time on Satts, I'll reg directly to the ME... ;)

Stephen - we are thinking of holding a live satt for our female members; showing them how to download, while registering and crediting the account for the winner on Titan etc. (80% have never played online) will that be acceptable? Just asking now before I run this by my committee for approval.

That would be absolutely brilliant Electra....I will be at the satellite myself to get them sorted out if you need me.

    Cheers,
    Stephen.

    Great stuff Stephen! :D

Erm... Just thinking you might need a minder, 15-20 women and a good lookin' fellah like yourself. Might be wise to bring the missus with you! ;)

I'm officially single until 22nd March :), do with me what you will.....Seriously though, let me know when and where and I will see you there Electra. You've just boosted the tournament numbers by about 10% :).

How did the satellite go last night? Assuming I didn't manage to drum up enough business again :(

By the way, good looking??? you have strange taste :D

I'm not talking about me... ah I won't spoil it for you, you'll see for yourself! LOL! :p Just have to get the committee (and the club owner) to agree first...

On another note, it was disappointing to have 5 players last night. Myself, Gillcarr and 3 new players... :(

Talk to you Sunday in the Crowne.

    Hi all,

Just wanted to let you know that I plan to hit as any clubs as possible over the course of the next four weeks...

I will be in Kilkenny for the weekend so plan to pop my head into one or two clubs and am heading North next week so will be covering as many clubs as possible North of the border.

If you want me to call into your local club please post here or send a quick email to stephen@pokerireland.ie

With the amount of responses I have been getting I am feeling very positive about the numbers for this event, but there doesn't seem to be many lady players that post here on Boards.

    Stephen.

Good news... IrishDeafPoker.com got approval to host a satellite for the Irish Ladies Poker Championships! :D:D:D

Will be sending out info to all our players tomorrow. The initial plan is to have several €10 SnG on Friday 6th March from 7pm... first 7/8 players sit and play... next 7 in, 2nd table begins and so on. With a demonstration at 9pm or so

Now here's a 'possible' beat: it clashes with a certain women's group AGM starting at 8pm  but if we get two tables completed, I'm happy! ;)

Hope you can still come along Stephen? ;)

I'll be there with bells on Electra. I'll make sure we are ready to start at exactly 7pm so that we get it finished in time... I have it in my gizmatron diary now so there's no way I will miss it.

    Hi all,

Just been away for a couple of days. On the road promoting the tournament :).
I think we are getting somewhere now as there are lots of groups of women coming....Just remember you will all probably be drawn at different tables :)

Keep the registrations coming and get your buy-in paid as soon as possible please, so I know exactly how many players to prepare for.

    Cheers,
    Stephen.

Ok, its that time again....I am looking for names for an STT online satellite for the ladies champs. I've had three emails in the last two days from new players requesting one, once I reach ten I will get it set up straight away.

Taking names in this thread now :), any Boardsies interested....I know we will have GillCarr and Electra.

Nobody interested in a qualifier so....

Just to let everyone know that Paysafecard is available now in every paypoint outlet in Ireland....Which means that you can essentially register for this tournament with cash before the 20th March.

    Cheers,
    Stephen.

    Thanks Get In There!

    Ladies,

If any of you are in the area this Friday do come along to the Dublin Deaf Club. The club is right in-between Drumcondra train station and Quinn's Pub on the Lwr Drumcondra Road. There's ample free car parking at the back of club (turn down by Independent Pizza, 1st right, into first gate on right). The Card Room is on the 2nd floor.

We'll kick off at 7pm, first 7 players to arrive will play the first table and so on. We'll do as many SnGs depending on demand but we must be out by 12 midnight.

€10 per person. Starting stack 3,500, standard blind structure, 10 min clock. Get In There will be TD, any lads in the room will be made to deal...

Stephen will be explaining how to register on Titan as most of the IDP players don't play online at all. 1st winner will get €70 UKash voucher to lodge to their Titan Account for registering their seat, if you are already registered (like me!) we will give you the cash...

There will be a side cash table .50/€1 so there's no waiting about if you are kicked out and want to play another SnG.

    Hope to see you there!

If you have any problems just give me a call on; 087 2424626.

Coming down the M1 towards Dublin keep going straight until you go under a railway bridge. You will see Independent Pizza on your right (can't miss the crowds of people getting their eats) and its just around the corner from there as Electra said.

    Cheers,
    Stephen.

Just got the report in from Titan today for February sign-ups.

There are a lot of lady poker players that have signed up so far and have lodged some or all of their tournament buy-in onto the site.....

Please keep the registrations coming ladies and again; any help you can give us in promoting this tournament is greatly appreciated....Its hard to get the message out there to everyone but I think we're on track to get over 200 players at this stage, hopefully in the next two weeks now we really get motoring with it.

Great game tonight! Three tickets were won, big thanks to Stephen and Poker Ireland for supporting us!:

    1 - Jennifer Foy
    2 - Maeve Dermody
    3 - ME! :D:D:D (First bloody satt ticket I ever won!!! :o)

Some of our regular ladies were unable to make it tonight, so we might hold another STT Satt at our next Ladies Only Class (usually mid-week) but only if there's enough interest... If we do, I'll let you know Lou.

Advance warning - stay away from cash tables with Carfax and Get In There on them! The pair of them cleaned me out gooooot tonight... 64 off is NOT a hand to go all-in Ceee!!!!!

IN DENMARK, LADIES HAVE THEIR OWN TOURNAMENTS

usually played in the Radisson Copenhagen Casino, cant recall the actual name of their society / members name

however, if you e-mail Erik Jensen, General manager of the casino there, I have found him to be extremely helpful in the past and i am sure he will make your tourney known to those same lady players, I HEARD THERE ARE ABOUT 40 MEMBERS

    www.casinocopenhagen.dk.......managers name is Erik Jensen

Hope this is of some help in getting lots of players

Think you're a bit confused Siucra, it just so happens that there's another tournament running along side the ladies only tournament. This is a play off that players have qualified for through a league, I'm female and I'm playing in the tournament for the IO ticket!
