warning yellow light on dashboard

    I have a Nissan almera. nearly ran out of petrol today and when i filled up a warning light came on. Its yellow and looks like an engine symbol. is there any kind person here can tell what it maybe?

    Did you check the manual? Could be fluid in the fuel filter - theres a quick do-it-yourself fix in the manual if its it. Is the car losing power at all? -any other symptoms? What is the year?

    2005. No its not loosing power although i came home on the motorway at a constant speed. but I did not notice any loss in power.

    Could be anything then I'm afraid. Take it to a mechanic if there's no info in the manual and the problem persists.

    Probably a lambda sensor, get it hooked up and diagnosed.
