What charts should I be watching at this stage? Am I right that BBC Beta has drastically reduced the snowfall forecast for Ireland tonight and tomorrow?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,890 ✭✭✭embee

    Woop!

Tiny, tiny bits of snow falling here in Ardee, Co. Louth!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,246 ✭✭✭rc28

London is being plastered- check out some of the webcams around the southern/sw'ern edge of the M25, few accidents too. WTH will they do at rush hour tomorrow??
    http://www.keepmoving.co.uk/home_jamcams.aspx#mapSection Click around leatherhead area.
More graupel and snow falling here now, light though.

I wouldn't worry about what the BBC are saying - they don't bother with accurate forecasting for Ireland

That wasn't really showing much for tonight/tomorrow anyway, bit of a downgrade for Tuesday than what they had earlier is all I can see.

Check on Netweather and look at the GFS chart viewer, select precipitation type and you'll see that there's plenty of potential for us tomorrow. :pac:

Funny, Meteolarm's not showing anything for Ireland. Probably a glitch.

Temperature steady in Waterford.. 2.7c, humidity is dropping though.. probably because of the clearing skies.

It feels frosty enough out there now!

Parts of the m25 have been brought to a standstill- with way worse forecast there I wonder what tomorrow's rush hour will be like?!

EDIT; Evelyn delivered an excellent forecast-more talk of "disruption"

Already a covering here (of graupel), is hell being stuck in work after your shift is over and unable to get home?

Have a weather station?, why not join the Ireland Weather Network - http://irelandweather.eu/

2.6/-4 C here. That's the most impressive figure I've seen here in Skerries since I got the WS. RH is at 69% too which is a bit unusal for here too but I'm looking forward to the precip when it arrives now!!!
