Nothing in south dublin yet. Hope it snows before bedtime. Anybody think that dublin bus could cancel some routes tomorrow if it's pretty bad. Would love to use it as an excuse to get off work :D

got off my arse and went outside, weve got hail here sticking on cars but very little... starting to pray now and i have hid the child of prague well in doors so that we can get snow... hope that helps

Had a small flurry of graupel here in the last 45 minutes or so. There could have been other instances but I wasn't watching constantly. I'm hitting the leaba now and hoping for a covering in the morning. I'd really love a snow day off work. It'd be brilliant! Fingers crossed!!!

Skies have cleared here and the wind has gone which means ground temps will plummet now and anything that falls later will settle.

    Hah Porto man!

There was some snow grains there for a while.

This is in association with the cold front pushing through, the proper snow showers won't arrive for a few hours yet.

From 4am onwards really getting heavier and heavier towards tomorrow afternoon.

I would suggest a covering of 3-5c by dawn widely piling up through the day with 20cm possible by midnight tomorrow, then more snow on top of that likely through Tuesday night into Wednesday.

This is gonna turn into one of the greatest cold spells since the eighties, already 15cms of snow on the ground in SE England they could have 50cm's come tomorrow evening.

Bit of sleet in Firhouse, it's appearing to be a bit tempremental. Give me my damn snow!

Love your enthusiasm Weathercheck but I think you are way out ....20cm by tomorrow night.....then talk of the eighties....:)

Lets get realistic here...I would be happy to get 5cm in Dublin tomorrow and then a bit more on Tuesday

Anyway, I really hope I am wrong and you are right...!! :)

    Hah Porto man!

Me too (originally, living in D9 now)

was out at the Porto seafront today (about 17:30) looking over the Irish sea and the wind was incredible. Loads of white foam being whipped up and my God was it cold!!!
