slight thaw on here now, the snow/hail grains on the road is melting slightly, the tiny grains of snow that are falling are just not having any impact. We need heavier snow.

Larger flakes falling here- should be with you too. Accumulating again too.

Still clear skies in Letterkenny..wtf is going on?!

Its bloody freezing outside, everything frozen so any rain at all will fall as snow and probably stick. That big blue thing in the Irish sea is slowly heading towards us, better get here before I go to bed

    Picture taken in Parkwest.

    Al.

    Oh dear :pac:

Someone had clearly drove over that successfully, probably saw that and decided to do the same. Actually can't see why she didn't manage to get over.

Looks like limerick aint getting any.

That radar pic shows major a major concentration over the east, but as time passes it seems to dry up when heading west.

    Aw :(

Some more from Clonee/D15 - just taken. I have this very fine snow at the moment, it's light but persistent and has filled in the footprints from earlier outside.

But I do think it's thawing a little, and what's falling, while still snow imo, is leaning towards light sleet. I've no idea of the exact temp right now, but I suspect if it doesn't fall, or if the snow doesn't get heavier, I won't see any of this tomorrow morning.

    Tallaghts got a great covering.
I reckon in some parts there's about 3"-4".
Snow still falling, I can't see the snow going anywhere unless it LASHES rain over night.
But at -1c i can't see that happening.

Had some great fun up in hills on the sleds.
The best part was helping to push a €150k merk up an icy hill.
The sounds of that V8 roar made it all the worth while though.
Great weather and great cars, gotta love it. :D

    Rain in Bray :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 139 ✭✭JFKIRELAND

Here in D5 the DP has gone up to -0.1C and the temp is 0.9C. There has been rain/sleet for the last 40 minutes.

My confidence of a decent snow is melting away, just like the slush all around me.
Is there anything on the horizon that may fall as snow????:(

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,270 ✭✭✭✭leahyl

i'm not liking all the constant mention of rain....not one bit!
