Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Flatplate panels, properly installed, should last 45 years with no maintenance. :

I've read through all of this thread, and wow - you people are dedicated!

Anyone know of a good retailer+installer in Dublin and can you tell me how much generally a installation should cost and what square area for the 60% requirement of 5 people?

    Hi,

Your question can only be answered by a proper survey of your house to see the cylinder / plumbing, roof type, angle, direction its facing etc.

The amount of hot water required each day and when it is required also plays a part in the survey, the number of occupants is not really enough information.

Some people think tubes look terrible others love them the same goes for panels, some want in roof others prefer on roof, Many want someone to explain the difference !

Some people want a salesman others want a tradesman, some want the cheapest possible others want the best value.

There are general costs for different systems available online, how general do you want the answer to be ?
