Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Under Rated by the IWC

Thought I'd start a thread to talk about Wrestlers who are or have been underrated, or under appreciated by the IWC (basically us, who talk about wrestling on forums). So people like D Lo Brown, or Jamie Noble wouldn't be counted.

Was watching one of those WWE Legends of Wrestling roundtable discussions, and they were discussing Bob Backlund. This was a great wrestler, who held the WWE title for more or less 5 years. Yet a great many fans have forgotten about him, or just don't rank him as highly as he should be. Feeling out of place in the Rock'n'Wrestling era he went on hiatus, but still came back 11 years later to beat Bret Hart for the WWE title in 1994, in a very good match.

If he had come along during the attitude era, he would most certainly be regarded at the same level of great wrestlers as Kurt Angle and Eddie Guerrero.

As a promotion PWG is completely under rated.

I think the ability of both Alex Shelley and Chris sabin is entirely under rated. If they were slightly bigger, this would not be a problem I suspect.

Or if they had been in WWE before. That seems to be a requirement for a push in TNA

I wouldn't agree with Backlund. He wasn't that great. You can even look at some of the not-so-good awards that he won in the Wrestling Observer back in the days when its readers were basically the IWC before the internet

There's a ton of guys. You could put Orton, Danielson, every Japanese and Mexican wrestler and Sammartino in there
