Most of the networks offer this. I think there are a bunch of hoops you have to jump through and you have to supply certain info to ppl like unsubribing. ComReg are strict on ppl who break this code so you have to make sure you have thought this through and have systems and procedures.

    These are the regs:

    Heres a supplier:

    Hi

In order to get a 'short code' from an established supplier you would need a business case and business plan and possibly a credit check and previous telecoms exp, it would really depend on your negotiations with that supplier, you would also need to pay region 2 - 6k up front and ongoing service fees as well as a big revenue share of between 100 - 60% (outgoing).

I dont believe txtnation (link above) are established in Ireland, although actively sell in services

If you want more info post up specifics and I can answer for you

    regards

puca are more focussed on major & fmcg brands, they wont touch anything else, unless you have a strong business plan and impressive business case they will generally avoid low volume outfits

Plenty of companies there - if thy will take you on as its a volume game. No point in getting a short code as the operators will stiff you (one in particular).

There are some companies offering it across the web so look at that.

Otherwise you could look at opera, black dog, phonovation etc - again they are looking at volume so they may not be willing

There are PC/SMS applications available have a rummage there.
