That could have been as much a red for Alonso. Woeful decision, from a woeful ref.

I don't care what anyone says, the standard of reffing has been steadily declining over the last 2-3 seasons. Riley, Styles, Atwell, jokers the lot of them.

Typical. This is the 'problem' with student accommodation. I'm watching the match, knock on the door, 3 Italians offering me cake. They come in, we chat and eat cake for 5 minutes. I come back and I miss the one noteworthy incident (so far).

That said, the cake was excellent.

Its one thing when your first reaction is red card but on seeing the slow mo you realise it's harsh because the refs don't get 2 or 3 looks. But when your first thought is fantastic tackle you hateful shooper goals git you really have the ask what is the ref at?

Some stat for Riley 4 reds in 16 games.

It's how it looked to me, I'm more than happy to admit I could be COMPLETELY wrong on getting another look at it. And I'm not exactly saying he should have gotten the free either, just that the yellow was harsh!
