Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Eamon Dunphy I feel should be commended for volunatarily taking a 10% pay cut from his RTE salary. The man is leading by example speaking that he earns so much that he should take the pay cut. Hopefully some others will follow suit. Fair play Eamo.

fair play, lets hope the others do the same, but i doubt it. think this is being discussed on after hours or one of those forums.

    Fair play

and before people start saying "big deal, he is paid enough as it is" remember he didn't have to take a cut at all

Hardly a football matter unless 10% off also applies to footie chat.

It's a decent enough gesture, albeit probably designed as some sort of reverse rebuke to RTE. He's still paid a fortune and has other business interests.

    Hardly Nobel Prize material.

How the bloody hell would you of all people know if some of his salary is not for the work he does on the premiership, champions league and Ireland games. If you dont know then you should not presume.

He earns 300k per annum, and he was on the radio this morning giving it "oh I don't expect everyone else to do the same, but in these recession times I feel it's the least I can do, I'm nothing special, bleh bleh bleh"

He probably spends 30k between the pub and the bookies over the weekend anyway

Drop the salary to -- god forbid -- 200k and I'll give a sh*t. 100k and I'll buy you let you buy me a pint.

Tax man will still be taking 42% of it. Good gesture.

A token gesture...would he have asked for a 10% pay cut if he was on oh I dunno a "measly" 130k a year
