Does anyone know how to get into coaching football here? Ive played a couple of seasons in the league and i can safely say any mental abilities I have are far superior to any physical ones!!

Are there teams that take people on and show them the ropes?

    Thanks.

Most teams should be able to point you in the right direction. Who do you play for?

If you're in Dublin, pm me letting me know where you are. I'm a level 2 coach, specialising in o line and know most of the head coaches quite well. Can point you in right direction if nothing else. Basically you're looking to get involved with the Irish American Football Coaches Association, which has just been set up. I'm at level 2 which along with about 20 other people is highest level I think domestic coaches have gotten to so far here. There'll be more level 2s in next couple of months and a level one, which is what you'll be aiming for, will be held later this year. The level one is fairly easy to get tbh.

The exams so far have been held in Dublin, exact location has varied. PM me where you are and I'll give you some advice. you'd want to have had some experience assisting coaches before doing the exam. Level 1 is a practical and you'd be showing very experienced coaches (the panel last time included an ex-NFL Europe player and Team GBs coaches) so while it's easy you'd need to be used to actually doing it.
