Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Good win for the Lions. Another goal for Llorente too!

    Athletic Bilbao 3 - 2 Malaga

    Numancia 0 - 2 Real Madrid

    Madrid reduced Barca's lead to nine tonight with Raul equaling the great Di Stefano's goal record for the club.

    Robben, when fit, is a fantastic player and definitely one of the best playing in the world today. He is Madrids No. 1 player this year and with him they are a dangerous side to face.

    Bilbao V Malaga was a cracker. Madrod rode their luck a bit, but were clinical. I expect Barca to drop points tmr, so the race is far from over.

    Some decent games today

    Espanyol v Recreativo Huelva,
    Osasuna v Mallorca,
    could be important games come the end of the season

    I don't think Real have it in them this season to close the gap on Barca. Bad start by them this year and dropping points against teams they should be winning against.

    They might just rue those opportunities.

    First half of the Barca game was poor. Lucky to not be behind with the effort coming back off the post. Busquets was mad to pull the guy down in the box and get away with it. Is Messi injured ? I am trying to watch Barca on tv and Liverpool v Chelsea on the laptop. Multi-tasking u know !

    Racing were the better team in the first half. Messi needs to come in and change it up tbh.

    2-1. Messi again. That was actually unbelievable. This is one of the best seasons I've ever seen an individual player have....... Who says Messi is one footed? That's two unbelievable volleys this season with his right foot.

    My Sig could not be any more apt than right now;

    The second the penalty went in I said to the gf Messi will come on now and win his !

    Those two red cards for Marquez and Pique could be costly in games to come. Two of the back four suspended is obviously not a good thing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,046 ✭✭✭eZe^

    That was Barca's 5000 league goal, nobody better to score it tbh....

    Although that's our first two red cards of the season, both Pique and Marquez gone for next week. And with Puyol injured it may mean a backline of ;

    ---Alves----Cacares----Abidal----Sylvinho---

    against Sporting. Let's hope they are as sh*t as they were in the first fixture this season...

    What a game. Nice to get away from the monotony of other games this weekend. a 3-2 Athletic and now a 3-2 Valencia game. Depor beat Villareal 3-0 and Betis get a 2-2 draw with Getafe.

    Thats cool man. I know that nearly all the Spanish terrestrial stations are free if you have a big enough dish (1m or so) and obviously have it pointing at the correct satellite. Cork is a good location as its obviously the closest part of Ireland to Spain. Handy if you want to watch games on http://www.lasexta.com/ as they show about 3 games a week and usually have the Barca game most times this season. La 2 (TVE 2) are showing 2 - 3 premiership games a week also. I think I might look into it if its free like. I am watching the games back home off the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slingbox which is a handy bit of kit if you are ever abroad.

    1-0 down at Villareal, 1-2 with Pique off

    2-1 down at Osasuna, 2-3 late win

    1-0 down to Racing, 1-2 win with nine men..

    Big wins at rather awkward places...

    ¡¡¡Saludos a Raúl!!!

    307 GOALS for Real, and still counting...

    Now the all time top scorer for Madrid, the Spanish national team, as well as in the Champions League.

    A living legend who doesn't get enough recognition outside of Madrid/Spain.
