can I block contacts on my mobile

I own a nokia 3161 and I was wondering if anyone knows how I can block contacts from ringing me as I dont want to change my numer. I dont know if I can do it on my mobile or if I need meteor to do it or even if it can be done:( Sorry im totally lost when it comes to mobile phones, Is there any way to block private numbers…

i believe it would have to be done by your service provider

By default this isn't available on any phones that I'm aware of. But there is software you can get to do it. e.g. http://www.mobiletopsoft.com/board/2619/symbian-freeware-callfilter-blocks-unwanted-calls.html

Whether it's available for the 3161 or not I don't know, but a quick google should let you know.
