Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Went for a cycle yesterday with others from the cycling forum.
Out from Dundrum, to Enniskerry, Djouce, Balinastoe, then around and towards Luggala.

the snow in some of the photographs appears very grey, i know this is mainly down to exposure issues and white balance.
I remember reading a tip many years ago for shooting scenes where there was snow covering objects within the reach of your flash - that the flash can be used to get some effects from the reflection from the crystal structure in the snow. Unfortunately or fortunately I cant seem to get near any snow to test that particular tip out!

so i dragged my old poor self up the mountains today to see the snow!! there was some there ok not as much as in the East of the country but enough to skid around on afew times
and yeah it's just dawned on me that there's a whole generation of kids who may not ever have got their mits on snow before - must be a great adventure altogether. so anyway i tried that flash tip and as far as i could see it just blew the highlights out in everything - maybe i wasn't doing it right I dunno and it was too cold to be hanging around fiddling with things!!
so heres my efforts before i scampered off the mountain for the inviting open fire in a local pub!
