I have moved out of a shared house with 3 other people. There was no lease.
My old house mates have yet to find someone, will the landlord expect them to cover the rent for the empty room til someone is found or is it a case of no lease no responsibility and he will have to wait til they do find a new bloke . It will be hard as you can imagine as rental market isnt great. any advice appreciated.

Without a formal lease, you are deemed to have a Part 4 lease udner the Residential Tenancies Act 2004.

Have you given adequate notice and received your deposit back?

Did the landlord rent out rooms or the whole house together?
