Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Up past Pine Forest and on towards the Feather Beds. Or if the snow is particularly good, then 3 rock has lots of good ground.

Where can you buy a toboggan in Ireland now?

The damn wall at the upper reservoir in Roundwood.

Open to the public, long steep grass covered slope with no obstacles.

LOL - I have a red plastic toboggan from 1987!!

Well up the gap wouldnt be a great track, you need a long steep field with a few bumps along the way!

And no gorse bushes at the end! OW!:o

It might, big plastic sack like a coal sack would work best.

Or one of those kids mini surf boards!

Nope, tried a boogie board before. They have a grippy surface for your feet. This sticks to the snow like sandpaper!!

Best toboggan ever is a car bonnet - but lethal!

I have a real toboggan, so i'm sorted.
Plenty of hills around Tallaght to play on.

Tallaght is the best place in dublin by far when there's snow!

Killakee car park is always a good bet, although it can get crowded at the weekends.

I actually saw a couple skiing there a few years back - shortest run in the world, I'd imagine.

Is there much of a hill there?

Just finished making a 4-seater toboggan this evening. Maple deck snowmobile style on three skateboards. Took the wheel mounts off the skateboards and re-fitted them on the tops. Took off the axles and bolted the deck on in their place. Gotta get out tomorrow and find a snowy slope...
