ive just remembered that Declan Sullivan missed the team photo....by the time he came out, they were all standing up.

i know it wont make a big difference to him, but he must have been a bit pissed off over it. still though, shows the determination by the team, get out, get focused and get the job done.

its done on purpose, I've watched it happen all year, James missed the Mayo Semi Picture in Croke Park.

Its so the Kerry team can release a team photo shot at the end of the year, as an official shot and sell it, and it will be the only shot with all the panel AFAIK.

the amount of money that it costs to pay for an all ireland win, is huge.

they will have an extra 160k from all ireland ticket sales. those KY SAM things are 5euro, they will get another sizeable chunk from that.

you can be sure as well that people will be on a high in the coming weeks and will want to see the county players in action.

And what about the €10 they took on each ticket for the final? or the huge sum of money they gathered in New York a few months back.
I didnt realise selling an official team photo would be a big money spinner for them

I might be wrong but I heard today that South Kerry was the destination for friday night? Busy few days coming up for the players

That can't be true can it!?

I'm not from Kerry but am sceptical of my own county board at the best of times.

commercialism is huge now in GAA, the county boards need to make every cent possible, to allow the teams be prepared to the best of their ability.

when you see the crests being altered a few years back, it gives an idea of whats needed.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,451 ✭✭✭wonga77

i wonder are they wearing proper Donegal jerseys? and i assume the video was an official kerry one, being used for analysis on how they would be set up during the game itself?

Was it at the start of this year that Kerry were experimenting with Galvin at no.6? Or was that last year? Just wondering if people saw Crowley as Kerry's no. 6 at the beginning of this year.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 214 ✭✭Smartguy

Yeah they experiment with Galvin at half back at the start of the year. I think Crowley was chb last year so he was always a contender.
