Need advice on first gigs

    I play in a heavy metal/thrash band n our first gig is coming up soon we got bout 9-10 songs so bout 40 mins of our own material is that enough?? Oh yea any1 got a better name than Home Grown Hobos?? Hehehe cheers

    Depends on where you are, and if you're the only band?

    I dont have much gigging exp. myself though, so i cant help all that much..

    as for a band name... Trash/metal? Infected Toxic Mushroom Spore? :P

    Or... um.. Organic Tramps? ... Bloodstained Toxic Metal Bladed Tramps!!

    Nawh, i have no idea.. generally people just throw an adjective that sounds suitably dark with a random object. E.G.:
    Radioactive Fluff.
    Suffocated Lamps

    Atomic Kitten

    Evil-Eye Puppies.

    I like homegrown hobos :P

    40 mins is enough if you arent the only band playing, but if you are, you would want to be pusing an hour or even an hour and a half really.
