I didn't think you needed a hyphen between long lost. I got 12/20. Messed up on the meanings of words.

    19/20

Pretty stupid asking for the meaning of reasonably uncommon words though, spell check and texting arn't going to effect that surely?

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

You need a hyphen between two words that form a single adjective. It's to clarify that he has been lost for a long time, rather than being both long and lost. With three or more it may be appropriate to use two hypens or, if two are more closely related than the third, a hypen and an en-dash; the en-dash between the less closely related like high-throughput–low-latency connection.

    What uncommon words?
spell check and texting arn't going to effect that surely?
Nor is spell-check going to do it for you, but good English in some regards aids good English in others.

630,000 and 2,120,000 google hits. Hardly obscure, and certainly words you'd expect to find in a school vocabulary test.

I'm very impressed with your input, but what REALLY impresses me is that you joined boards.ie in 1970 when the Internet was at it's infancy and html didn't even exist!
