Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Happened yesterday when I was stuck in traffic between 7 and 8.

    Came back then tho.

They made reference to it later on the show.

Is that how they are getting through the recession? Not very good IMO. I was listening yesterday after the 7pm news and was raging as I wanted to hear about Robbie's transfer and what the lads had to say about it!

Strange one, as they are owned by Denis O'Briens mob I wonder if they are going to share with Today FM which is properly national - NT still has plenty of gaps.

The lads explained that there was a problem with the transmitter...it cut out causing dead air....

Not a good week for Communicorp from the sounds of things. 98FM went completely tits up this morning - audio started "skipping" just after 7pm before completely dropping out. Then the next half hour was 15 seconds of backup audio followed by 15 seconds of interference noise before cutting back to 15 seconds more of backup audio and another 15 seconds of interference over and over.

98 had dead air this morning for a while from around 4am until just before 7.30am, they're transmitter actually froze due to the cold weather overnight. Back to normal programming now though. :D

Transmitter in South Dublin was hit/affected by lightning around 7pm on Monday. Knocked them off the air, but they were having some problems yesterday.

I know it was lightning because I was sitting in my car, newstalk on, lightning flashed and at the exact same instant, Newstalk turned to dead air. It was cool, very horror movie-esque.

I saw the exact same lightning and newstalk stopped in my car - a pity aswell as I was witing to hear the transfer news on off the ball aswell.

Was it the main transmitter though? Because "98" was still showing up on the radio, along with a Stereo pilot signal as normal. The odd noises that were coming out in between breaks from the backup audio sounded more like a dodgy link to the site.

    Another lightening strike?

Its back. The data stream coughed choked and died for abut 10 mins then stuttered back to life.

There's still a lot of snow on Mt Leinster - wonder does that affect their transmissions.

Snow may affect Newstalk as they use a satellite link.
