Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This evening I was bored and was on Christian Bale's wikipedia page here, and found part of the page to be like this. I took a screenshot of the page as wikipedia is usually edited rather quickly.

Has anyone ever bothered to create or add anything to a wikipedia page, and if so, what?

In it's early days, I edited the Iron Maiden page due to it having no mention of guitarist Dave Murray, and once corrected the link to the official website of some software company (cant remember who). Aside from that, I've never bothered doing anything else

Yes. They mentioned my town but had properties named in the wrong place streets and corrected them on spellings.
Basic stuff that locals to each, would spot easily.

yes i edited a few pages for my town also but got in a row with some tool who kept putting in the wrong info - then a few others were dragged in to it before we settled down. I was bored too.

I wrote an entry on the Toilet Bong. It was a perfectly valid topic and some bástard wikitard deleted it.

(for anyone interested, yes the Toilet Bong is indeed a real type of gravity bong and no, its not anywhere near as disgusting as it sounds)

Well duuuh, I'm a knowitall who doesn't, so of course I have.

I did a spot of Wikivandalism recently to win a game of 5 links to Hitler:

Problem with wikipedia is that opening it to anyone means it inevitably sinks to the lowest common denominator, and when you're talking POWER CRAZED INTERNET NERDS!!!! that's pretty bloody low.

Yes I do alot of Wiki vandalism, mainly to keep myself amused.
My most recent was for a thread here yesterday (attatched)

You heard his rant on the radio this morning too?
    Pure gold.

I put my friend Aidan on Wiki and called him a child molestor. Still up there but I'm not going to link

Changed a few sports pages here and there and fixed a few vandalised pages about living people i'd rather not see abused. Otherwise very little.

As I came across this story in the Times today it reminded me of some vandalism I found to the entry for Chris Tarrant the other day.

I personally think the greatest 'additions' are the ones that are just a small step above total nonsense.

A couple of photos I uploaded have been reused in other articles, one such example being the 2009 Bank of Ireland robbery. Can't complain, my work is being put to some use. :)

Same here, as well as the pages for Ryan Turbidy, Gerry Ryan, Plank Kenny and Steve Staunton. Those tossers must be reversing the edits themselves because they disappear quickly.

Edited my town's sport section describing how darts exploded onto the scene in the 90's as a joke (kind of in joke within my circle of friends) and it was mentioned in the next week's edition of the district newspaper, was amazed when I seen it, edited it in between watching episodes of peep show.

I've thought about editing Wikipedia the odd time, but Weird Al's "White 'n' Nerdy" put me off :pac:

I'd love to be mentioned on the Bike though, if anybody's bored enough :P

Wikipedia is written by saps and nerds. I present to you Mr. Ben Schumin: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Schuminweb

He is but one of many thousands.

A few bits and bobs here and there, mainly science and sports.

Once I looked up the word scanger and there was a load of text and a picture with the caption 'Two typical Dublin scangers on a night out'. Only then did I realise it was two of my best mates! I told them going to that Slappers and Rappers party was a bad idea

It only stayed up for about 3 days but man you gotta love the universal editing :D

Most of the page on Irish tunnels is by me. I've done quite a few corrections to typos and rephrasings.

I added to the profile of Moe from The Simpsons :) (info about his heritage and religions).

I've fixed grammar and spellings on a few random pages before, but I've never vandalised or actually added anything to any of the pages. I had a year long IP ban that I have no idea what I did to deserve so I don't go near the stupid thing anymore.
