Sleety rain now here in Booterstown, need more snow! Anyone know what it's like up in Stepaside?

The snow was heavy in Rathmines with about an inch of coverage when I left. The city centre is much more tame, sleety rain with patches of ground and car roofs having a thin layer of snow.

Heavy snow shower in D11 and giving a nice little covering.

Snowing constantly medium - very heavy for the last 1.5 hours in Sandyford/Leopardstown. About 1 inch+ on the ground. Much more than Tuesday when it took workers between 2 and 5 hours to get home depending on where they were going. If you work in the area and live outside the M50 you should really leave now. Most people have left this office

    Cheers,

Too late I'd say! All roads leading to M50 around these parts are already at a standstill!!! They obviously did not learn there lesson - trucks stuck on the slip roads/ramps. AA and Met E will be on news at 1 on RTE radio in a few minutes.

    Still bucketing - nearly 2 inches now - 1.0c

Snowing moderately in dublin city centre again. Only sticking to existing snow on grass- everything else is too wet.

    ON RTE1 news now

The reason for alternating between sleet/snow is DP is a few degrees too high?

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,778 ✭✭✭✭ninebeanrows

So the cold front is pushing south DPs should drop through the day, gonna be so treacherous if this stuff freezes later.

Slow thaw ongoing, but the grass will defo keep the snow till evening.

I wonder will there be any more surprises through the day and evening?
