Just back from a walk around Glendalough which is simply magical right now.
Snow was coming down but no wind, everything white, really beautiful.
Snow sticking here now with the trees all white and snow sticking on the ground again, brilliant afternoon :)

You up by the pool WC? High enough to compensate for being so close to the coast!

according to the wife, 10 mins ago.

That's because nobody can get onto the M50 :p Seriously, the problem is that the Leopardstwon and Ballinteer/Dundrum interchanges have very steep ramps and slip roads so it is virtually impossible for trucks and vans to get up and/or down - that's what causes the traffic chaos for miles around this area.

I'm about a mile and a half from the Ballinteer/Dundrum interchange but traffic is pretty much static (both ways) on Grange Road.

Still light powdery snow here. 0.9c DP 0.3c

Hey sounds like a lot of Snow going on , is it just in Dublin?

Id love to get out and see some snow, but can anyone tell me the closest to Limerick that it is snowing please? Might be worth me taking a trip later, i feel like im missing out on the all the great scenery of snow covered hills.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,778 ✭✭✭✭ninebeanrows

That slush out there if it froze would be a deathtrap!

Reaching peak temps of day around now, and should fall from 3pm, gonna be lying snow left on grass and a slushy mess everywhere by nightfall.

no snow fall in the last 30 mins in Knocklyon (D16)
Estate roads are pretty much clear with slight slush. Not half as bad as same time Tue/Wed.
Sky still blocked with low, snow clouds.
    Parked cars are melting.

A line of showers pushing into North country Dublin now, spreading into Irish sea.

Lusk is in a sleetly, mushy mess... been more sleet than snow here most of the morning so the shield must be malfunctioning.
