Yep, looking at BBC radar that stuff is just moving south now not SW like we want.
Tapering of here now too, though have no idea if that will start up again as have very little radar faith for this area in these conditions.

I've been looking at the met.ie radar and they seem to have been accurate all day. Another few inches here. It really is amazing. +0.3c

    Heres a couple of snaps.

My car after an aborted attempt to write boards.ie on the bonnet - snow too dry, this was totally clear before the snow started (the car, the ground wasnt) :-

Looks like that front is gonna clear through soon enough to leave us in the bitter arctic air.

Maybe a few specs of snow for some as it does move south

Is something building in the Irish Sea? Looks like a line of showers all the way from the Isle of Man to Dublin.

I hope so too, and a big thaw on Saturday would do nicely also :D

Who's claiming credit for the word 'snizzle'? Whoever it is, do you realise that you've inadvertantly coined a new Boards.ie phrase? :D

Some fantastic snow in Dublin today but out in Meath it's as if nothing fell all day- the snow that was there this morning appears to have frozen though. Now, there's this really fine powdery snow falling that's sticking to all surfaces except roads.
Btw, another 8 inches of snow are forecast for the same places in England that received a foot of snow on Monday.

The NW HiRes radar view updates every 5 mins, but they only seem to get data from one of the Irish radars every 15 mins. The precipitation seems to go missing for two out of every 3 updates.

Good stuff, you are in a direct line south of me i think so you may be getting the same precip as here. Tapered off here now to snizzle though.
That might be it (but i live in hope for more!!)

Really? A lot of the stuff fell from the sky certainly, but it melted away a quickly as it fell, so no accumulations at least on my commute from Sandyford to Swords this evening apart from a thin layer of slush.
