    hey all

    trying to get BT bb in my new house, the problem is they need the Universal account number, the last tenants in the house had perlico so we rang them to try get the UAN but they said they cannot give it to us and that we would have to get eircom to disconnect and reconnect the line again, is there any way around this issue?

    The UAN is not just linked to the line, it's also linked to the renter. So, your UAN will be different to the previous tenant. Only eircom can give these out, so you need to ring eircom to activate the line and give you the account number.

    If the line is already active, and with Perlico, then the previous tenant needs to cancel it first.
