My mam was christened Philomena, rotten name. She changed it when she was about ten to her middle name. Still gets post under the name sometimes though.

I notice that the hatred of Irish names doesnt extend to Sean, or Aidan, or even Siobhan ( which I dont really like). I surmise that to be popular with Boardsies an Irish name needs to be popular, or common, with the Anglos.

Hmm, I don't really hate any names. Reece is sort of annoying, and Nathan. I don't like Megan spely Meaghan either, or most names with extra letters just to make them different.
