Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

One kid was particularly disruptive, leading mother to yell:

"SAPPHIRE JADE MARIE AM GONNA F**KING KILL YOU".

Bad enough, but then when forms needed to be filled on it turns out that there are boys called Jack Daniel and Miller and girls called Cookie and Pepper.

    That really is a classic!!!:D

My mam was christened Philomena, rotten name. She changed it when she was about ten to her middle name. Still gets post under the name sometimes though.

Seamus. Pol. It makes anyone sound like an 80 year man. I dislike a lot of male Irish names but those in particular have that effect.

I notice that the hatred of Irish names doesnt extend to Sean, or Aidan, or even Siobhan ( which I dont really like). I surmise that to be popular with Boardsies an Irish name needs to be popular, or common, with the Anglos.

Not mad on Irish girls names, esp Eoife and Orla, but Irish guys names are lovely, the Irish for Micheal (wont even attempt to spell it!) is my fav!

My name has been mantioned a couple of times... Didn't realise people didn't like it that much!

Hmm, I don't really hate any names. Reece is sort of annoying, and Nathan. I don't like Megan spely Meaghan either, or most names with extra letters just to make them different.

Don't worry about her name being hated or not; rest assured that when some guy is lashing her out of it he will tell her she has the most beautiful name in the world. :)

    Simon..

I was going to be named simon when I was born but thank god my uncle was on hand to say "I won't have a nephew named simon" so they looked at the name of the machine beside them and it was called Colin.

And thus, a legend was born
