Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    1-1
    and 1-1

it would appear that neither defence nor attack outshone the other.

Im putting into consideration that both games were at anfield and that Liverpool would be considered a much better side and able to cope with a team such as Everton, as I'm sure many pool fans would of thought.

And then go out to Burnley next round

That would be some achievement seeing as the draw has already been made;)

Donchaster or Villa are the possible teams in the next round.

As an Everton fan I obviously hope we stuff Liverpool tonight but I'm amazed at how many Liverpool fans there are here that don't seem too bothered about the cup. I know the league is a priority for Liverpool but I honestly can't see them winning it this year. If Utd win their game in hand they are 5 pts clear and will be really hard to catch. I honestly think the FA cup is Liverpool's best hope for silverware this year.

I am also an Everton fan, and I of course hope that Everton win tonight. Liverpool fans are downplaying the cup now, before the game, but it will be a different story if they beat Everton. You will find that tomorrow winning the FA cup will have gone way up their priority list.

The Liverpool team in full: Reina, Arbeloa, Dossena, Carragher, Skrtel, Lucas, Alonso, Gerrard, Kuyt, Riera, Torres. Subs: Cavalieri, Hyypia, Agger, Benayoun, Babel, Mascherano, El Zhar.

Very surprised that Benayoun hasnt earned a place in the starting 11, especially considering that this is a cup game. Agger must be getting pretty fed up at this stage also...

Everton team as I posted earlier.

Thought we'd have seen Agger tonight, since there has been a bit of hassle about a new contract for him, and with Rafa seemingly backing him for a new contract.

    I wouldn't say it's unrelated.
Everton managed to get a draw at Anfield twice.
So I believe his point is that they are well capable of doing better than that at Goodison.

Yeah, but at Goodison, Everton probably won't play with eleven players behind the ball. They'll probably try to pass the halfway line on occasion this time and that may allow Liverpool to pick them off!
This could be slightly easier than at Anfield, maybe!

I'm not trying to be cockey and I reckon that team Everton put out is good I just think that we have the added aid of bringing in fresh players who aren't knackered - I reckon it's going to be liverpool by 2 or 3.
just my gut feeling and in fairness my gut feeling is always liverpool by 2 or 3 so shows what I know.

My gut feeling tells me Everton are gonna take this one...so it's a Liverpool win then.

    From BBC:

For those of you wondering why Liverpool and Everton are wearing black armbands. It is in memory of Anfield pitchside announcer Phil Easton, who died suddenly on Monday.

red hot atmosphere tonight cant see 22 finishing this

It'll be interesting to see how Benayoun does in this match. Gerrard's position is where he plays best, but obviously never gets much of a chance there.
Although he seems to be switching with Kuyt.

Gerrard says he felt a twinge in his hamstring
