Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Why the feck is Torres still on?

agreed. asking for trouble. Babel or Ngogs pace could be useful too. Loads of space behind the everton defence.

PHB my post just after your one answers your point anyway. Totally agree that it was stupid from Lucas, and a deserved yellow, just a personal pet peve that so little (particularly the first) can see a man off

Same thing again from Alonso, definate yellow for deliberatly stopping play. He at least was good enough to try and hide it.

some very cynical fouling and general play going on.

Rafa seems to have forgotten this is a nothing game for Liverpool, or should be a nothing game.

Rafa's tactics for ET. Torres more than likely will come off and probably try and play for penos. How many subs have liverpool and everton left?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,308 ✭✭✭Pyjamarama

Lot of poor performances from people in red out there. That being said one or two god chances Everton have created little...

The Ref has been a joke aswell to be fair but if you offered me to beat Chelsea due (in part) to inept reffing and lose to Everton in the cup due to it I know i'd bite your hand off!

In other seasons it would be, but this year he knows it is important to a lot of the fans and players.

Dont be looking for excuses, this could be bad season yet for ye and wishing for 3 points over progression to the next round is a bit arrogant dont you think?

looks like a personal preference to me. I'm not sure how it would be arrogant.

    One sub each I think.

Surely Torres for Babel is the likeliest Pool substituion?

Harsh sending off on Lucas - I've no problem with the second as a yellow, the problem was that the first was never a yellow card. Up until the sending off I thought he was one of Liverpool's best players - was having a much better game than Alonso, Riera, Kuyt, Dossena, Arbeloa. He was very involved in the game and was seeing a lot of the ball and using it pretty well.
I wouldn't be surprised to see this appealed on the basis of the first yellow card.

Can still see this going to penalties as Everton really showed a lack of creativity since the sending off - don't think they created a proper chance apart from set pieces.

no he didn't, he said they had heard a steward may have been hit by a coin, which may have come from the liverpool section.

You clearly tried to imply there were coins and glass bottles raining down everywhere for some kind of sad kicks or something.

    Apologies, I was wrong.
It wasn't Beglin at all, it was Tyldesley. He didn't hear, he actually said he saw coins being thrown, from the Liverpool section, on live commentary.

Again, this isn't an outrage comment - I was responding yo another post commenting on the fans.

I'll take my kicks from a result if we get one thanks.

that's actually a disgrace the way liverpool kicked it back to Howard.

Why ?should they give Caill a through ball and a free run at Reina?

Kicking back to the keeper is standard practice

well your talking through your hole, it's the least arrogant thing I've ever read, unlike your tripe.

If you had to choose pretty much every team would take league points over getting through to the next cup round.

You think if a WBA fan said he wanted 3 points to help secure survival he's being arrogant?
    no
    shut up.

    Huh??

I'd prefer to still be in with a shout in the league than still in with a shout in the FA Cup... who wouldnt?

IF Everton win it'll be because they deserve it. Not their fault that the relf is a joker (isn't every ref in England).

Me thinks someone is looking for an arguement there...

Def should take Torres off, he is not looking dangerous at the moment, and seems to be a bit tiired imo. Although if that does happen, 40 people will jump in this thread and lol at the tactical error they think they see.

This better go to penalties. I hate when you watch a 0-0 draw for 119 minutes and someone scores a poxy goal.

As a non Liverpool fan I gotta say that they have done well here. Down to 10 men, one of their top players gone very early on. Setting out not to lose and take penalties (or a sneaky goal) and they've managed it well

JUST PUNCH CAHILL IN THE FACE DIRK!!!!

ugh, every time i see him all i think is "dont punch the tv"

reina has been a bit of a hero. hopefully he can be if this goes to penos

    Yes, Liverpool have Pepe Reina.

i'd say Kuyt, Alonso, Babel, Benayoun and Carragher will be Liverpool's

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,102 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

pool have Xabi, Carra, Kuyt and Babel who would all be expected to score. The extra would probably be Yossi i'd say.

For some strange reason ive a feeling Dossena/VDM could end up with the winning penalty
