Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This is that famous tree in county carlow. I'm from the county myself and I have never taken a photograph of this tree that seems to attract loads of other photographers. I took this through a bus window on the way to Dublin to see my girlfriend. I was lucky i had the 400d and the nifty fifty with me. I noticed the overcast sky and thought well maybe i'd be able to get something from this. I thought it turned out well for a shot through a dirty bus window.

It's on the main Kilkenny Road from Carlow. Just after the Dolmen Hotel on the Kilkenny side on your Left as your travelling in that Direction. Alot of people pass it everyday and don't realise it's signifigance to the photographic community. It has been captured many times.

    Oh and thanks ;)

Its probably the dirty bus window that helped with the nice effect on this..:)

    It is a great shot..

Before and after shots from the recent floods. The after taken last week. The river Lerr runs just behind the trees and flows into the Barrow about 200m further along.
