Looking for info on band called Jekyll (from 1995), Album name Ark? (by Crib Records)

Hi all,
I have a CD by a band called Jekyll (I think)
The album may be named Ark

It's a professional CD made in Clondalkin in 1995
The Copyright is Crib Records 1995

I'm looking for any info on them

The Album Has 8 tracks, which I have tentatively named as follows
01 Trashcan Man
02 Bone crunching boot to the head
03 Move away Boy
04 World reciever now
05 Howl like thinder
06 Lights shining
07 See the picture show
08 Hail the animals


I've included some of the lyrics for 02 Bone crunching boot to the head

I wouldn't be the best person to answer the genre question.

Maybe punk type rock? The music is catchy

I happened to hear the other day that Jimmy Coup (Andrew W.K. Guitarist) whipped them over to California and signed them. Good dudes, we played with them in Dorans.

I'm on about Jekyll from 1995, don't think they were the ones that went to USA? I thought the other Jekyll (that went over to the US were ony together for a year or two

Nemisis on the boards here is a member of the more recent Jekyl, they're based out of Blessington. They're more an American hard rock type of thing, definitely not a punk bone between the lot of them

ArK is the name o the album did u checkout u tube. Put in Jekyll Animals and u'll get a video of animals

There most recent line up was about 2 or so years together. Yea they went to America there before X mas , there based in newbridge/athy area great bunch of lads. Did you type Jekyll into wikipedia?

Im talking about the Jekyll which silver surfer knows they are from dublin

I dis the search in Youtube (Jekyl animals ark) and the aninals video came up, excellent, never saw the band before. Nice video too.

We only have on L as in JEKYL.

Never knew that though.. must look the other lads up maybe we can throw a very confusing gig!

We are in L.A. alrite but Jimmy (Andrew WK guy) didn't sign us up to anything, wants to do some tracks though at some stage. He is a good buddy of ours.We left just before Christmas to tour for a year... or maybe two, will see how it goes.
Tis pretty hard going, broke as hell, but sure nothing good ever came easy!

Yeah i kinda like the idea of rocky and bars guitars cranked with a mixed band session with the marshall stack sound id like to see that u guys and them but how i dont know where any of u are Good luck

Just discovered this thread.
The band were a four piece rock combo from Dublin. Line up as follows:
Ciaran Rock : guitars and vocals
Paddy Duffy : bass and vocals
Barry McCann : lead guitar and vocals
David 'Ted' Burns : drums.

The album Ark was realeased in 1995 and track listing is as follow

8 Animals

They broke up in 1996.Some of the tracks can be found on youtube and all members are alive and living in Ireland. Who knows a reunion gig could always be possible. Hope this helps.
