E-mail setting Problems with Samsung Tacco

Hi I recently tried to set up e-mails on my Samsung tacco but keep getting "Invalid Password or ID" But i am 100% sure i have put in the right password and ID i even wiped it clean and re entered them. what should i do to fix this?

Who's your email account with?
Have you checked your userid is correct? e.g. using joe.bloggs instead of joe.bloggs@gmail.com or vice versa.

I tried several including Google mail, Yahoo and O2. On O2 and Yahoo i get the fault on google i get a no responce Message or something.
