Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A few from the last few days: feedback most welcome !

I concentrated most of my efforts on the 1st one, the others just basic tweaks !

I actually like the last one most, very nice shot. Sunset shots are grand but I was told by somebody judging a competition that they need to be "WOW" shots to work well. First one is good too but for atmosphere the last one cracks it, the way the trees have fallen nearly says do not enter to me which brings me into the shot more..well done, whats the location on the last?

    Thanks for the comments.
Yeah, the sunsets are fairly bog standard at this stage, but I love taking them all the same (no sunset/sunrise is exactly the same, there's always some minor or major difference, ie. with clouds & color etc).
The last one I was lucky to be passing by last Monday just after a snow blizzard !, its in a wood near Bunclody Co. Wexford.
I was thinking of getting the 1st one printed out large, mainly because it has good detail, a bit of color and a bit of a composition! but maybe the last one might be better ie. more atmosphere ?

Yeah last one definitely, if you are printing it out go a tiny bit brighter as it will print dark

Great stuff Moriseeeeee. I really like the set.

Funny thing actually. I looked at the first picture and thought to myself, i wish he had taken a panorama, because i thought it would look really good. I scrolled down and there it was!

#1 and #2 i really like. Great location, nice sky, lovely detail in the ruin and the snow on the ground adds something to them too.

#3 as Keith said is a bit bog standard as sunsets go. Although i love taking sunset pics too. I think you really need something else in the sunset pictures to make them stand out.

#4 is a very nice shot. I really like the contrast between the snow on the trees and the trees themselves. But imo the top half of the picture is much nicer than the bottom half. The fallen tree in the foreground needs some snow on it or something. Also, if it was a longer exposure you might have gotten a nicer texture/movement on the water. The leaves on the right hand side also kindo f distract for me. I still think its a lovely shot, but these were things i noticed.

I hope you appreciate the C&C. Personally i think that C&C on this forum is a waste of time. Most people are very slow to offer help and opinions to people asking for C&C.

    Good work mate.

Decent set but I really do love the last one it's like the setting from a horror film along the lines of the Brothers Grimm or a dark fairytale and that ilk.
#1 and #2 are very good too.
3 is good but I prefer others.

    Thanks all.

Yep, 'kgiller', my thoughts exactly on the last one. I just converted it to BW and not much more. I must spend a bit more time on PP. I took a few in portrait style aswell, ie. giving me more height to the trees, I will post later.
