    Casio G Shock Settings Problems

    Hi

I am posting here under Gadgets, not sure were else to post.

Hope some one out there can help me.
I have a casio G1000D got it for Christmas just gone. Thing is I can not seem to be able to set the date so it changes at midnight, it changes about seven hours after midnight.
I have taken it back to the shop twice so far. first time the girl that works there said it was very complicated and she didnt know but the manager would be in next week, so went in today same result . The manager is going to get some one else to look at it later this week.
But if anyone has had similiar problems can they let me know how they got it sorted.

Below is a link showing the type of watch
    (http://www.casio-europe.com/euro/wat.../g-1000d-1aer/).

    Many Thanks

Off the top of my head I'd say the watch has the facility to display two time zones. The date will change at midnight on the primary zone. I'd say your display is set to the secondary zone. Just a hunch.

I,ve not seen anything about that in the instructions, I also downloaded the instructions from casio on a PDF but there identical. But it could well be that there is some settings that were left out on the manual.
Dont know if checked the link but the watch is completly analougue makes it difficult to know waht mode your in when setting.

The link doesn't work but it does look like a time zone issue.

I am not sure, the time zone is set to GMT, there is a seperate dial on the watch which gives you the time in what ever city you pick.
Might take it to another jewlers or watch shop the weekend.

Not sure why link wont work, I just copied and pasted to address bar.

It's working for me. This is the direct link to the manual:

    Hi Elnino

Appreciate the reply, but could you tell me when you have the watch in the world time zones and you set the time to your local time zone have the main clock and the small world time clock on the right hand side have the same time. Mine has about a seven hour differance though, the 24 hr indicator is correct.

are you sure you haven't set the time to AM instead of PM? For example, is the date changing during the afternoon? try winding the hands forward manually , and if you see the date changing, that's midnight.
