Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Discovery of a primitive type of whale (Maiacetus inuus*) has shown taht early whales gave birth to their young on land as opposed to in water. The specimen contains the fossilised remains of an unborn fetus in the birth canal. It would have exxited head first, suggesting birth would have taken place on land rather than in water (Water based air breathers give birth tail first so the baby doesn't drown during labour).

Here is what it looked like (sans fetus):

*Maiacetus means 'Mother whale' while Inuus was a Roman God of fertility.
