Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Strange hang in XP

    Hi Folks,
    Strange one here on a laptop with Windows XP.
    When I try to start windows, I get the Safe mode/Last known good configuration dialog.
    But when I choose any of the options, the machine hangs. No hardware changes were made.

    Any ideas how to fix it?

    Unplug all peripherals. Boot to Safe Mode. Take note of the last line as it hangs.


    (To jump ahead, just in case: Do you have a copy of Windows on CD?)

    I can't boot into safe mode - any option on that screen just hangs.
    I'll be able to get access to a Windows disk yeah, I work for a software company.
    I was hoping that I didn't have to go near re-installing.
    I can do a repair windows without loosing data, can't I?
