Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Not sure if this is in the right forum..........but anyway;

    I was gonna pre-book a game on play.com - does anyone know what's the story with delivery dates; will I have the game on the day it's supposed to be released or will it be a week afterwards?!

    Would I just be better off going down to the shops on release day to purchase it?

    Thanks in advance.

    No chance of getting a game on launch day from Play. If you want to get it online, you could give Gamenash a go, they might be cheaper than the shops, and I believe they deliver quickly.

    I pre-ordered GTA4 with them, took about a week after the release to get it. Had picked it up in the meantime so ended up selling it when it came!

    Avoid at all costs if you are anyway impatient! :D

    We're going to assume bluemachavel was talking about Play.com and not ourselves ;)

    Whilst i never ordered from Play.com myself, i did hear the very same thing from a lot of people online in the UK/Ireland who pre-ordered GTA IV from them.

    I ordered a lot of games from play.com back in the days, not once did anything arrive earlier than a week after release.

    Go with gamesnash, legends, anything i've ordered from then has arrived the day before release day. I ordered SF4 yesterday so i'm hoping for the same, what say you of my chances, gamesnash?

    Well just be thankful it was not coming out this week !!!!! We have had a nightmare of delays caused by the snow :mad:

    Assuming snow thaws in the next 2 weeks, airports reopen, distributors get the game on time, we get it on time we will hopefully be dispatching SF4 on Wed 18th so there's a good chance depending on the usual factors: where you live / what postage option etc - you know yourself though we can't guarantee a pre release day delivery ( we'd get into a lot of trouble !!!! )

    Another vote for Gamesnash... Play's shipping is a bit more on the ball now that I'm in the UK, but if I was still in Ireland I wouldn't hesitate to use Gamesnash for big releases.
