Recently i got footage from a trip to greece transferred from a camcoder tape onto a dvd disk. Now i want to save it to my desk top so i can start editing bits and all that kinda thing. There is a great football match on it between my friends and some local greek lads including a mate of mine scoring from inside our own half which i wanna put up on youtube. Anybody with any tips please help. Thanks

Right Ruddy .Basically you upload your dvd and transfer it to your windows audio file .You rip it on there ,to save to Libary ( dont forget to give it a title ) and it should transfer to your documents file .

Then you go into windows media were you have options of uploading your videos, pictures songs/audio files from documents .

You have your choice of were you want your title crediits to go ie, on or before the image and in what format .

Give it a go and see how you get on .Any probs pm me and I will get back to

Tis quite easy once you get the hang of it and usually take a bit of experimenting to get the right required effect ,which i find is the fun part of making you tube videos .

unless of course you pick the brains of somebody else , more advanced than I lol

    ( only kidding ) :)

When you put your dvd into pc ,either windows media player should open with the contents of the dvd .It's just a matter of clicking Rip then clicking Burn at the right bottom of screen .Then after it's being burned ,right click to transfer to libary .

When you go into libary from windows movie maker ,it will show up in your documents were you clik on it .It will then upload to movie maker .You just drag the video and audio/song of choice ( also from documents ) to instruction bar .
