    Check out Finanial regulator site
    http://itsyourmoney.ie/

Under Saving and Investment, compare different rate from all banks and finacial institute.

Northern Rock 5% or 4.75% paid monthly. Probably the best online demand rate you'll get (other than possibly Anglo, but I am not going to recommend them).

I've my money split as follows:

Salary paid into Permanent TSB account where it earns 4% on balances up to 1,500.
100eur transfered to PTSB 21 day notice savings account where it earns 3% + 150eur bonus for setting it up*, remainder transfered to Halifax account.

Halifax current account earns 10% on balances up to 2000eur.
Remainder is placed in halifax flexi saver at 4% - this is an on demand savings account.

*Bonus is for switching your current account to PTSB, 150 regardless of how much you save, min 100 pm for 8mo. So for me its gonna work out at approx 15% interest, 186/1200.

I hope all these figures are accurate.

    i do something similar.

BTW: PTSB regular saver = 4.5% not 3. halifax current account is 7% not 10!

    rates change. Halifax was 10.

YEP, im with halifax.......had my savings at 5.4.....it dropped to 4 overnight so i put the lot in BOI SHARES at 39cent........savings rates are going to drop like a stone soon imo unless you fix it.

Mind you we are still better off here than in the uk...........have 10k in a savings acc there......earned a whopping £1.36 last month........obv im going to move that in the next few weeks.
