Spinoza and pantheism.

    I always thought Spinoza was a pantheist, but I've just been chatting to someone who argued that he was not. What do you think?

    Don't know for sure, but I was under the impression he was an atheist, not a pantheist.

    Yes, he was a pantheist. I don't know a lot about him but my reference is a chapter about him in the book by Palmer, Joyce (Editor), (2001), Fifty Key Thinkers on the Environment; Routledge, London - pages 44-50.
