    We second that Pangea!

    Bitter cold up here.

Need to get out to shop soon or it will be more than badgers searching for food; what are the big roads, eg Barnesmore Gap, like? Still a totally white lane here.

Well it appears that cork city(or at least the northside) is snow free and will stay snow free.

With whats on the ground already (lots) its gonna be fun. Supposed to be going to Castleblaney for a meeting but it looks in doubt now. Two of us travelling from Carlow, 2 from Cork, 1 from Kildare and 3 from Dublin. I can't see everyone making it.

Nothing doing out here in Dublin 15. Lots of frost on the cars but it's still very dry out. A lot cloudier than a few hours ago though so maybe its on its way....

Here it is! :D Moderate fine snow falling now. -0.5c DP -1.6c

Looking at the radar, there looks like a couple of inches in that?

This is my fifth day of snow falling of this cold spell (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and now today). Snow lying since last Monday.

I know during the week, they were making comparisons with '82 but this has to be the best cold spell since '82.

    Light snow
0.4/-2.3C, temp has dropped a little since snow started.

The frozen lake has turned white, a lovely scene.

    Ditto :)

Can't say everything is covered as it already was! But all the ice and ruts are being filled in nicely.

This is fantastic! I'm so used to the dissapointment of atlantic fronts during cold spells travelling across Ireland as rain and then hitting the UK as snow.
